We believe giving is an act of worship. The Bible encourages us to be generous and that we give based on what the Lord has put on our heart to give, and never out of compulsion. Your unrestricted financial gift goes a long way towards advancing the mission of making disciples here at St. Johns Discipleship Community Church. TITHE

When we tithe by giving the first 10% of our monthly income, we practically show that we trust God with our finances. Tithing is a biblical principle that pre-dates The Law. God challenges us to test Him by giving the first 10% of our income back to Him. It’s the only area in the entire Bible where God tells you to, “test” Him:

I am the Lord All-Powerful, and I challenge you to put me to the test. Bring the entire ten percent into the storehouse, so there will be food in my house. Then I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with blessing after blessing."' -Malachi 3:10, CEV

OFFERING

An offering is any amount of financial giving above the tithe. Whether it’s supporting outreaches, helping families in need or fueling a specific ministry at DCC, your offering is a chance to partner with God’s work in a way that is unique to you. Jesus said:

"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” -Luke 6:38, NKJV

LEGACY FUND

The DCC Legacy Fund is an unrestricted offering designed to expand our church’s mission through special projects such as purchasing property, building facilities and expanding outreach opportunities to the St. Johns community. The Legacy Fund is equipped to handle cash donations and non-cash donations such as stocks, bonds, securities, real estate and businesses. We have a great team in place at Morgan Stanley who work with us to convert all non-cash donations into cash for the DCC Legacy Fund.
