“This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” (I John 4:10, NLT)
Are you experiencing God’s love today? Unlike human love, God’s love is never-ending, unconditional, and deeply satisfying. Why? Because God doesn’t just have love – God is love (I John 4:8b). We experience God’s love through the sacrificial work of His Son, Jesus Christ.
The love of Christ is one of the main themes in I John. The author of this letter, the Apostle John, was known as, “The Apostle of Love.” He is writing to young believers reminding them that God is love and if they are truly children of God they must “love one another” (I John 3:11).
We'll begin diving into 1 John on Sunday, August 18th and accompanying scripture journals are available now.
NEW: A Small Group Discussion Guide, Family Devotion Guide, and Sermon note pages are now included!
